Measles Case at Gretna School
Manitoba Public Health has notified Gretna School that there has been a positive measles case in the school community. Public Health is calling anyone they believe may have been directly exposed and providing next steps for those individuals. Public Health will continue to provide direction in this situation.
Public Health is asking families to monitor for measles symptoms, including:
- Fever (38.3oC/101oF or higher)
- Cough, runny nose, or red eyes
- Rash that typically starts on the face and spreads across the body.
Gretna School is working closely with Public Health to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and families.
